Meet Pei Nee
Pei Nee is a professional dancer and dedicated ballet educator with a wealth of stage and teaching experience. She was a company member of Singapore Ballet (formerly Singapore Dance Theatre) from 2004 to 2010.
During her time with the company, Pei Nee performed in numerous full-length productions, including Madame Butterfly, Giselle, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, La Sylphide, and Cinderella. She also collaborated with renowned choreographers, performing in works such as George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco and Serenade, Ohad Naharin’s Tabula Rasa, Thierry Malandain’s Bolero, Marie-Claude Pietragalla’s Les Noces, Jorma Elo’s Glow-Stop, Boi Sakti’s Reminiscing the Moon, Edwaard Liang’s As Above, So Below, as well as several pieces by Goh Choo San. Her career also included international tours to Shanghai, Tianjin, Korea, and Paris. An Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD), Pei Nee holds a RAD Teaching Certificate with Distinction (RTS) and serves as a mentor for the RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching (CDT) programme. She has achieved distinctions in all RAD examinations up to Advanced 2.

With extensive teaching experience, Pei Nee has taught at several esteemed institutions, including Singapore Ballet Academy (SBA), where she taught for many years. She is currently an adjunct lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). In January 2025, she was invited to conduct a masterclass for the Indonesia Dance Alliance (Indance_id), reflecting her growing influence within the global dance community.

Her students have consistently excelled in RAD examinations and achieved success in both local and international competitions. Among her notable coaching accomplishments, she guided a student to win the Grand Prix Award at the International Ballet Grand Prix Singapore (2019). Her contributions to dance education have been recognized with multiple Outstanding Teacher Awards, most recently at the Youth Arts Festival 2024.
Passionate about inspiring the next generation of dancers, Pei Nee strives to nurture each student’s potential and instill a deep love for the art form. She believes: “Nothing is impossible to achieve if you have the heart, passion, and determination.”
